In short

## Trip cover, in four steps.

Offer protection during checkout, and keep the price, the policy and any claim linked to the trip.

1. Quote Send the trip details and get a price for cover.
2. Explain Show the provider, what is covered and what is not, before the traveller accepts.
3. Issue Issue the policy with the booking when the product’s conditions are met.
4. Claim Travellers upload documents in the app, and the claim status stays with the trip.

How it works

## Quote and bind in one flow.

Send the trip details to request a quote. Show the price, provider, eligibility, exclusions and claim terms before the traveller accepts. Then bind the cover (issue the policy) through the booking flow when the product’s conditions are met.

In depth

## Travel cover, from quote to claim.

Offer trip protection at checkout and keep the quote, policy and claim status connected to the booking.

01

### Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR)

Where available, offer cover that pays back an agreed amount if the traveller cancels for any reason. Show the eligible cancellation window, reimbursement amount and exclusions before purchase, with the provider named in the policy.

Product

02

### Real-time underwriting

Underwriting means pricing the risk. Trip details such as route, airline, dates and fare flexibility inform the quote. The insurer’s rules decide eligibility, price and cover.

Pricing

03

### Launch products with us

Insurers use our rails to launch new travel products, such as flight-delay payouts triggered by flight data (parametric cover), baggage cover and visa-rejection refunds. Product setup, filing support and distribution are included.

For insurers

04

### Embedded distribution

Show eligible protection inside your checkout, with the provider, policy wording and required market disclosures attached to the offer.

Distribution

05

### Claims automation

Travellers upload the required documents in the app. Text recognition (OCR) helps fill in the details, and cases that need review reach the claims team with the file attached. Approved payouts follow the policy’s payment process.

Questions

## Travel Fintech: common questions

Something we haven’t covered? [Talk to the team](https://www.onarrival.com/company#contact). We can help you work through your integration.

**Who actually underwrites the policies?**

The policy names the insurer or protection provider for that product and market. During onboarding, confirm who carries the risk and who handles claims. Insurers using their own products keep the agreed underwriting responsibilities.

**What does "real-time underwriting" mean concretely?**

Each quote is priced for the specific trip: the route’s disruption history, the airline’s punctuality, the season, fare flexibility and the number of travellers. Two trips that look the same can be priced differently, because their risk is different.

**How fast do claims actually pay?**

Payment timing depends on the policy, the trigger and the evidence required. Parametric products can use flight data to confirm an eligible event; other claims need documents or review. Track approval and payout as separate states.

**We’re an insurer. What does launching on your rails involve?**

Agree on the product and target markets, configure pricing and policy rules, complete the required approvals, test distribution and claims, then launch. The timetable depends on the insurer, product and jurisdictions involved.

**Which jurisdictions can we sell in?**

Coverage depends on the provider, product, traveller residence and selling market. We confirm that scope during onboarding and return the eligible products with their required disclosures.
